Easy & Cheap DIY Nursery Mobile
As an expectant mom and pediatric Occupational Therapist, I was pretty picky when shopping for a nursery mobile. I wanted my mobile to be an engaging, age-appropriate plaything for my newborn, not just a beautiful nursery accent. I found very few that met my list of priorities:
1. high contrast hanging toys for baby's first weeks and months
2. could be hung above baby's play space
3. changeable hanging toys
4. hanging toys were hung oriented toward baby not toward adults

And so I made my own using this photo mobile {affiliate link} for under $10. I used card stock to make some of the hanging toys and also purchased several Paper Source kits (butterflies and sailboats) as well as black and white art cards {affiliate link} that I copied (reducing the size to 75%) and mounted on cardstock. Really you can get creative and clip just about anything lightweight to this mobile!
